It is recommended to create a quote before placing an order as during quote creation multiple validation steps are performed and errors that might result in order rejection can be avoided.

It is important to note that a quote is only valid for 5 minutes and after this a new quote must be created before placing the order, otherwise an error will be returned.

When a quote is created, Deliveroo validates the delivery location, that can be represented either as latitude/longitude or using a textual representation of the address.
